In arch dam projects, the concreting rate during the total period of the project is the key factor for time scheduling. There are many limitations to optimize the concreting plan, namely, time gaps between consecutive lifts in each block, lifts in adjacent blocks, acceptable height difference between adjacent blocks, acceptable height difference between the lowest and highest lift. ADOSYS (Arch Dam Optimized Scheduling System) is an engineering software that shows time scheduling in a graphical view of the upstream side of the dam body. The graphical view illustrates the lifts, blocks and joints of the dam. It will determine the operation time of each lift according to the project limitations and the user strategies for each project (which is defined in the program). The outputs are also graphically animated and could be exported to MS project or Excel. This project has been developed with C++ programming language and MS visual C++ 2008.
This application has been presented via a paper and accompanied by a lecture in an international conference in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2010.
